Passing the cakelicious
town we move ahead to the city of forts and an archaic of Afghan and Hindu
architecture.
We present you the town
of Madhya Pradesh, Mandav!
Better known as Mandu,
the city of joy is a town of district Dhar. It attracts tourist all because of
its rich ancient architecture and the freshness it instils in oneself. The
mesmerizing aura around takes the excitement to a whole new level.
A 95 km journey all
begins at Indore for Mandu..... :D
And get ready to dive
into the lakes of Mandu and revive yourself with some great megawatts of
energy..... :P
Sail with us into the
Jahaz Mahal... As the name suggests itself Jahaz resembles a ship and the
palace is no less than a sailing ship on the lakes it has on the front and rear
ends.
Mandu is a place that
helps one rejuvenate good old days of their childhood... Swing was an integral
part of your writers’ childhood for they grew fighting for their chance to
swing and would just not satisfy themselves letting the other one swing
peacefully. :P
Same is the Swing
Palace or well known as Hindola Place in Mandu with slant walls remembering of
the swings....
The fort state provides
all the way with palaces and styles of architecture to be complimented.
The rocky surface covered
with layers of greenery and the monsoon season adds on to the beauty of place. The
Mahals in Mandu bring life back to the earlier era and deliver a sense of
royalty.
Huff!! After viewing
all these beautiful palaces you will be damn hungry and would rush to satisfy
the roar of your stomach. :P
So now bringing you some of the best places to eat
in Mandu including Shivani
Restaurant, a place famous for “Dal Bafla”
(M.P. walo ki khaasam khaas dish :P), majorly serving Rajasthani and Punjabi
food (pure veg). One can see the posters while entering as it enjoys the
monopoly and doing great marketing.
“Rupmati
Hotel” offers
a budgeted stay and experience in the serene beauty. The best part of this
hotel is the view it offers i.e., a valley view from gallery which amazes
tourists. Wohhoo what a feeling it would be to get up early in the morning and
sipping your tea with such a view. Also the food, staff and service is good
enough.
The mouth watering
roadside Bhutte or Corn stalls on the way to and from Mandu
has always overwhelmed your writers’ to an extent of attaining the absolute and
the godly experience in the rain shed days is just a perfect reason to visit archaic
land. :P
And whilst corn is
being discussed the white tamarind of Mandu shall not be left untried. Grab one
hopefully one only would be sufficient to bring the chills of sour to someone. The
big round tamarind is a delight the town offers. :D
Special for sight-seeing
the area provides a well nurtured and holistic view and flourishes with tourist
all over the year. A night stay at Mandu can be fun with a group doing a
campfire, with a subtle music, friends, and food! :D
A trek at Mandu is
neither a bad idea. Your writers’ haven’t tried one. :P
Have a happy and a
royal visit to Mandu! :D :)
