Beginning with the
valentines’ week this time we have come up with a few destinations to be
enjoyed during the month of valentines’. Romantically and peacefully bound
these places provide a time worth spending and memories worth cherishing at.
Enjoy February in the
lap of nature, from azure to cascades, from windy to fiery hot.
1.
Ooty, Tamil Nadu:
A
hill station out there in the state of Tamil Nadu is Ooty. With its pleasant
climate around, it tends to provide tourist bliss of nature onto their lives. Famous
for its Blue Mountains, the place acquired its name. The location has been a
centre for shootings in pretty much movies. The magnificent place captures much
of beauty from Doddabetta peak, Botanical garden, Pykara River (lovely it is), Ooty
and Emerald lakes and many more. Ooty Mountain Railways shall be travelled
once. The place has an unlimited list of places one can visit from Wax World to
Mariamman Temple. And the cuisine (being devilish a much :D), Hyderabadi
Biryani House, mouth-watering biryani offering place. :D
Hey,

2.
Minicoy, Lakshadweep:
Known
as the Female Island, Minicoy is situated close to Maldives and Thuraakunu.
The island portrays the culture similar to Maldives. Minicoy is a picturesque
for nature lovers. It provides an eye and heart-soothing view to the visitors
out there! The place suits our theme of the month i.e., Valentines’ and
enriches soul with peace and calm it withholds. Bring at Minicoy and not having
visited the Light House is not a fair play towards the island. Do visit it.
Another major tourist attraction is the Juma Masjid. Nurture your “self” with
some spirituality being there. Try out Rie Riha (red fish curry), Kavaabu, Teluli Mass (fried fish), Tora Riha(ridge gourd curry) and some highly
non-spell-able dishes from their cuisine. :P
Reach
the island via air through Cochin and Lakshadweep main land.

Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir:
Gulmarg
is a hill station located at Jammu and Kashmir. It is known for skiing and
referred to as the ski destination. To amaze your winters you must visit
Gulmarg once. The “heartland of winter sports in India” pleasures the tourist
whilst being there. The month of February with a subtle cold is quite suitable
to visit Gulmarg. Attractions nearby include Gulmarg Gondola which
is a major skiing as well as cable car attraction. A two way cable car operates
between Gulmarg and Kongdoori and from Kongdoori to Mt. Apharwat (at a height
of 3950 m). Khilanmarg is another tourist destination; a small valley
covered with flowers during the spring and instils freshness during the time. A
frozen lake well known as Alpather Lake is situated beyond
Mt. Apharwat and provides skiers with an opportunity to enjoy is solid state.
This lake remains frozen until the mid of June. In a chilling area like of
Gulmarg warm up your body with some non-vegetarian dishes the cuisine offers.
Yakhni, a lamb dish, flavoursome, adds on to the trip. Rogan Josh, a Kashmiri
Wazwan cuisine dish is the signature dish. :D
Reach
Gulmarg via air from Srinagar Airport or drive up to Gulmarg for about 1 hour
from Srinagar.

The Queen of Hills welcomes tourist of limitless pleasure, celebrating life. A 35

to be blossomed later. :D

among visitors with a touch of dripping water from about 4500 ft. Lake Mist, a
place which shall not be left unvisited for it mesmerizes the tourist’s soul to
an extent of eternity. Other attractions include a few temples and waterfalls
which being there won’t be missed probably. Momos are back with Mussoorie being

can! :D
Cab
